The Luminous Monolith: A Study in Light and Layering
This residence is designed as a sculptural dialogue between solid mass and ethereal light. From the street, the home presents itself as a series of stacked, cantilevered boxes , where warm wood-toned soffits and circular apertures break the modern linearity, creating a glowing landmark at dusk.
The experience begins at the ground level, where the boundary between architecture and nature dissolves. A floating granite staircase hovers over a tranquil, organic water feature, turning the entry into a sensory transition. Above, a hexagonal "honeycomb" light installation acts as a digital compass, drawing guests toward the heart of the home.
Inside, the design prioritizes "ceiling topography." In the living spaces , recessed timber channels and cove lighting redefine the volume of the room, while the kitchen balances clinical white quartz with a floating timber breakfast bar.
The journey culminates in the Pooja Room —a sanctuary of symmetry. Here, a backlit onyx wall creates a divine radiance, proving that in modern architecture, light is just as much a building material as stone or steel. It is a home that doesn't just house a family; it curates their every movement.
